It is a response to walking through the Royal Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, UK at a moment in time.


The Return

The towering oak, a sheltering friend,
Stands stooped, its branches etched with time.
The swing, where laughter knew no end,
Hangs silent, weathered, out of rhyme.
