Not quite a constant but certainly on a regular basis I am asked why is website accessibility important.
Well if you look at those numbers that is a lot of people that your website could be excluding simply because it is not accessible.
The worlds population is going to keep on growing and it is estimated by the World Population Clock.
Another staggering thought is that when I was born in 1962 the population was just over 3 billion and so in 60 years it has nearly trebled....
Back to my point.
Web accessibility is crucial as more aspects of our lives move online. Here's why it's important:
Inclusion
Accessible websites ensure everyone can access information and resources online, regardless of ability. This combats digital exclusion and fosters a more equitable online space.
Wider Audience
By making websites accessible, you reach a much larger audience, which can benefit businesses and organisations.
More Efficient
Everybody want things straight away and time becomes more valuable. If you deliver services, products, experiences just stuff really via the web and your missing out on 2.2 billion people time will hamper your efforts.
