Your accessibility journey starts here
A brief walk (shortcut) on the route from Blaize Bailey to Soudley Ponds in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, UK. Part of the Digital Divides project.
This is part of our Outdoors Indoors Pilot, to bring the outdoors to those unable to access nature independently or where emotional challenges are a barrier too.
In Partnership with The Barnwood Trust, Forest Sensory Services, Gloucestershire Libraries, Forest Voluntary Action Forum.
We wish to create Social Stories, and video content documenting spaces, so they can be researched before a visit. This can aid by taking away the element of the unknown before a visit, and remove unwanted emotional barriers.
Narrated audio-scapes, recordings of the natural world with appropriate commentary describing what can be heard and what is happening.
This we hope can be of benefit to anyone with a visual impairment.
Filmed walks, walks captured to bring them to you wherever you are, whenever you feel the need to explore.
These are a few of the projects we are looking to achieve is this pilot of the project, "Bringing the Outdoors, Indoors". We intend to bring forest bathing and exploring in nature to those who do not normally have easy access, if you feel this is something you can support us with through sponsorship of equipment or resources, please do let us know.
